Hotel
Land and culture St. Valentin and the Venosta Valley in the three countries region
The most varied region you can find with the triangle between Venosta, Tyrol and Engadin.
Here in the western South Tyrol, sport, nature, relaxation and culture combine perfectly. Our Hotel is located between the two lakes and we are surrounded by an alpine landscape you will love.
The valley's natural lake is at 1450 m.a.s.l. invites both in summer and winter to walk around in about an hour, or for those who do jogging even less. Bike or fishing are other sports to be practised on the banks of the lakes. Lake Resia was built against the will of the population in 1950: the houses were flooded to build a bigger artificial lake and start producing electricity. The bell tower rising from the lake has become the symbol of our community and is under the protection of historic properties. The lake offers athletes many opportunities, especially for kite surfers and sailors. We recommend that you walk, run or cycle the 15 km around the lake, you will see and enjoy the essence of our area.
A few kilometres from our Hotel Lamm, there are numerous cultural treasures you will have to see. In Burgusio the Abbey of Monte Maria is a Benedictine monastery, the highest in Europe. The medieval town of Glorenza invites you to discover its walls and alleys. In Malles there are seven churches and towers. The Castel Coira in Sluderno will thrill you with the biggest armour room in Europe. Moreover, all Venosta offers numerous churches, museums and paths to discover, you will find traces of the past and the history of these places.
